Piet Mondrain

The creator of De Stijl, one of the earliest movements advocating for geometric abstraction in painting, characterized by the use of vertical and horizontal lines that intersect to divide surfaces into squares and rectangles. This style employs three primary colors (yellow, blue, and red) and three so-called non-colors (black, white, and gray). It had a significant influence on the development of abstract painting and 20th-century architecture.
